This Privacy Policy describes how Voca - AI Voice Memo ("the App", "We", "Us") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our service.

What Data We Collect

Voice recordings and transcriptions

When you record a memo, the App captures audio on your device. The audio is sent to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) for transcription. The resulting transcription text is then analyzed to generate a title, summary, key points, and action items. Audio files are not stored on our servers.

Purchase information

If you subscribe to Voca Premium, purchase data is processed by RevenueCat, Inc. to manage your subscription status. We do not store your payment details.

Usage data

Basic usage information may be collected automatically by the device operating system for diagnostic purposes.

Third-Party Services

OpenAI

All voice memo audio is sent to OpenAI, LLC (openai.com) for transcription. The resulting text is also analyzed by OpenAI. OpenAI does not use your data to train its models by default. Audio is processed in real time and not retained by OpenAI beyond the immediate request.

Apple iCloud

Your memos and app data are stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

How We Use Your Data

• To transcribe your voice recordings

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Retention

Voice recordings are stored locally on your device. You can delete any memo at any time from within the App. Audio and transcription text sent via API is processed in real time and not retained beyond the immediate request.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Security

All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Your memos are stored locally and synced via Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
